Slate & Timber Roofing replaces and installs residential roofs in Indianapolis, Indiana. We built this company around a simple observation: most of the stress in a roofing project comes from not knowing — not knowing what the roof really needs, what the price covers, what happens if something unexpected turns up, or whether the crew will treat your property like it matters.
So we run every project the same way: a thorough inspection before any recommendation, a written proposal that spells everything out, careful protection of your property, changes approved by you in writing, and a walkthrough before we call it done. It's not complicated. It's just consistent.

We get on the roof and check the whole system — decking, underlayment, flashing, ventilation, shingles — with photos, so you see what we see.

Written proposal
One clear document: exact products, complete scope, assumptions, exclusions, and how hidden conditions are handled. Take all the time you need to decide.

Installation
Property protected before tear-off, quality checks during the build, and nothing changes without your written approval.

Walkthrough & closeout

We serve Indianapolis and the surrounding Central Indiana area. Freeze-thaw winters, spring hail, and summer heat are hard on roofs here — so we build for those conditions and handle local permits properly. Nearby but outside Indianapolis?
